For Sale: 1. Unique item: Edison two-speed cylinder phonograph installed in a Mission-type desk. The two-speed phonograph's latest patent is Oct 3, 1905 and the serial number is 445225. The reproducer is marked A79. The desk measures 36 x 24 by 29 1/2 high. It has a drawer in the front, a storage area for cylinders on the left side, a fabric covered door on the rear where the sound exits, and the cylinder machine is mounted in the right side of the desk and connected to the wooden speaker path with a telescoping wooden arm. Two small doors provide side and rear access to the phonograph. The machine needs a new belt and I have a new one for installation. Included are 50 assorted Edison cylinders. Asking $550 OBO and will consider trades. Sorry, no manual, stereo capability, or digital display. It also doesn't glow in the dark. I'd prefer not to ship but I will drive an hour or so any direction from San Antonio. Call or email for pictures.
