Las Particularidades

This soft woven non-luninescent paper was manufactured in Mexico. The gum varies in shade from light ivory to tan, the gum also varies in texture from early runs of stamps that show a horizontally ribbed surface to a later smooth matte finish. Although the paper is non-luminiscent, some of the inks used in the printing show luminiscence. The 750 peso stamp has a non-luminiscent green ink variety, for example. The standard measurement of the series for a 14 perforation stamp is 14 (horizontal) x 14.25 (vertical). This issue began in 1989.
