All of the 36.0 mm. stamps have a visible plate flaw that makes its identification easy. In the lower right-hand quarter of the wrought iron, the bottom left-hand iron curl appears broken. During the printing of the stamp, the plate deteriorated even further, creating a break in the other bottom left-hand iron curl.

The large plate, 37.5 mm. hierro forjado was printed in a run of 8,300 planillas, from which must be subtracted the unknown quantity of Series 6, 37.5 mm. hierro forjado which was probably printed from a batch of mixed 5th and 6th series paper.
