The paper is untagged, chalk-filled paper. The gum is dull ivory. Hi-brite front and a moderate degree of luminiscensce on back. If placed on a dark surface with the gum side up, the design of the stamp is invisible or very obscure.

The perforations, either harrow (h) or comb (c), are noted below. The standard 14 perforation is 14 x 14.25; the standard 11.5 perforation is 11.5 x 11.25; the standard 11 perforation is 11 x 11.25.

There is a possibility that both the 8.00 and 9.00 peso mezclilla exist on Series 8 paper. I have not seen them, only heard of their existence.
