A LOVE LOST
by Jenny Lynch
Across the shore, his smile,
Embedded
in my mind.
Across the
sky, his eyes,
Shining
up to the stars.
The one
we spoke about shines brighter than ever
Beaming
onto earth,
An unseen
force
Holding
together the two in a million
Only William
ever portrayed.
Across the
desert, his voice,
So soft
,
Enticing
a tear to my eye
With one
simple breath.
Across this
page I struggle to see
These words
I'm straining to find.
So choked
up are they,
So incredibly tangled
up am I
In the depths of these emotions.
