A mind full of hopes steps aboard a carrier of inspiration. Above you
a storm is trying to shine through a mass of hateful clouds. The ferry starts,
spitting out an ocean smiling back at you, ready to escort you on the trip
of your life. Across the harbour you encounter many waves, dancing with you,
teasing you, taking you on a rollercoaster ride to destination magnificent.
To either side, wind piercing your eyes, you strain to see the houses of
the rich and famous clambering amongst each other to win the race to the top
of the cliffs and shine upon the best view in town.
Looking back they wink at you like the diamonds on a lovers finger.
You pass hundreds, thousands of sparkling lights glowing over the waves
like a torch held over a face smeared with mistrust. You are lost in time.
In space. In heaven.
As the ferry slows you suddenly look up. Growing slowly is a house filled
with song and laughter. A house of fantasy, of images, loves and sorrows.
A structure that can only be classed as a wonder.
Just off to the right is the steel divider, stealing your heart through
the pupils of your soul. You feel like crying when looming down unto your
being is the most beautiful city in the world.
Every light from the street to the sky is calling your name; every single
symmetrical force is seducing you to follow. Every angle on offer is spectacular,
new, separated from the rest, like a toy city delicately planned purely for
beauty and exhibition.
You step off dazed, wandering through as the electricity fills the air
like never before. Tiny droplets kiss your nose and fall at your feet to
a blessed landing, in a city full of dreams.
