Guadalupe Valley Telephone Cooperative, Inc. is a non-profit entity,
and as such, any revenues over and above it's operating expenses are returned to
its member-owners in the form of Capital Credits. The refunds are made on a
proportional share, based upon the dollar volumes that each individual member
spends on telephone services with the cooperative. The more telephone services
and products the members purchase from their cooperative, the greater the
overall profits and the greater the members' Capital Credit refund checks.
The GVTC Board of Directors annually reviews the financial status of the
cooperative to determine whether a refund is feasible and if so, how much. They
strive to operate in a prudent business manner so that the member-owners will
continue to have the very best communication service possible at the lowest cost
consistent with sound economy and good management.
Does GVTC Owe You Money? We need your help to find hundreds of people to whom Guadalupe Valley
Telephone Cooperative (GVTC) owes capital credit checks! In many
instances our efforts to distribute the payments have been unsuccessful due to
the fact that the initial checks were returned by the Post Office.
Each November, GVTC is required to send unclaimed monies to the State of
Texas. Therefore, if you are on this list or if you know anyone who is on this
list please have him or her call our office to verify their membership and we
will promptly send them their check.
