Call Forwarding Remote Activation - $1.25 Res / $2.75 Bus

Call Forwarding Remote Activation feature allows you to activate or deactivate your Call Forwarding (to which you must also subscribe) or change the number to which your calls are being forwarded, from a remote location.

INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION:

Instructions may vary in certain areas. Contact the telephone company for your specific instructions.

Before you can use this feature, you must add a security code. This must be done from the location of the number being forwarded.

To Add or Change Security Code

1. Pick up the phone and listen for dial tone.
   
2. Press *68 (Rotary dial phones, dial 1168)
   
3. Listen for a coded dial tone.
   
4. Enter the security code of your choice (3-7 digits using numbers 0-9)
   
5. You do not need to know the existing security code to change to a new code, however, it must be changed from the location of the telephone number from which the calls are being forwarded, not a remote location.

Activate / Deactivate / Change / Forwarding From a Remote Location

1. Dial the following number: Your Exchange + 9237 (9CFR)
   
2. When prompted, enter the telephone number being forwarded.
   
3. When prompted, enter the security code you programmed earlier.
   
4. You will get a dial tone and can proceed with your Call Forwarding as usual.
