Netscape Mail 6.x/7.x

Open Netscape.
Select Window > Mail & Newsgroups from the menu at the top of the screen.
The Mail & Newsgroups window will appear. Select Edit > Main & Newsgroups Account Settings... from the menu at the top of the screen.
The Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings window will appear on the screen. Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the white pane on the left side of the window.
The Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings pane should appear on the right. Make sure the checkbox next to Use name and password is checked, and make sure your email username is entered into the box to the right of the words User Name:. On the next line below this, make sure the circle next to the word Never is selected and click OK.
