Distinctive Ring - $3.50 Res / $5.00 Bus

Upon Signing up for Distinctive Ring you will receive a second telephone number assigned to your existing telephone line. This number is your Distinctive Ring telephone number. Calls to this number will ring with a distinct ringing pattern - two short consecutive rings.

Things To Know:

• There is still only one access line to the location. Both numbers ring on that line and on the same phones. Only one conversation at a time is allowed.
  
• All outgoing calls are recognized as being placed by the main number.
  
• Any Calling Features activated on the main number will also apply to the Distinctive Ring number.
  
• Fax machines that are capable of recognizing distinctive rings can be programmed to automatically answer only calls to the Distinctive Ring number (check your fax machine manual).
  
• You will receive a separated directory listing for your distinctive ring number.
  
• Collect and third party calls cannot be placed to the Distinctive Ring number, only to the main telephone number.
  
• If you have Call Waiting, you will receive one of two Call Waiting tones. Calls to the main number activate a standard tone. Calls to the Distinctive Ring number activate two short tones.
