The board members of KAPRA met on February 6, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. at the
home of Mr. John Allen. Those in
attendance included Wade Lively (chairman), Jack Wallace (President), Connie
White (Treasurer), and members Lori Pannell and John Allen. Those absent were Larry Miller and Vic
White.
Agenda items were as follows:
I.
Old
Business
a.
It was noted
that Pedernales Electric Company has pulled down the power lines from the
southeast area past the runway. A
letter from PEC was noted and filed.
b.
A new secretary was welcomed; Bonnie Kraemer will be
recording and taking the minutes at the KAPRA board meetings.
c.
Approach lighting boxes have been built for the southeast
end of the runway. Exact location
and installment of the lighting will be explored on a day when test flying can
be completed.
d.
All other runway lights are done except for one that needs a
coupler. Completing that last light
should be accomplished shortly.
e.
A windsock light will also soon be replaced.
II.
New Business
a.
Unit I is
requesting that KAPRA pay $407.55 for clearing trees at the property southeast
of the runway. John Allen made a motion, and Lori Pannell seconded the
following motion: to meet with Unit
I President and/or board to review this charge.
b.
Dues notices were recently sent out by Connie White
c.
Larry Miller and Jeff Clark are new KAPRA members.
d.
Connie White presented an invoice from Powell Southwest
Insurance. A motion was made and
seconded to accept that insurance for this year.
e.
Larry Miller was appointed to replace Jon
Spears unexpired term.
