He loves his walks, pushing his head forward to receive his leash and prancing down the block, head up, ears forward, with his leash in his mouth, just like his mom. A stop at Petsmart on the way home yesterday brought out six workers (normally I'm glad to find one) and lots of customers and children. He met his obedience teacher (begins next Saturday) who absolutely was a-ga-ga over him. I was told none of them had ever seen a Terv before. He was the big hit of the day.

While only eight weeks and having been solely with me for only two days, the pup already knows his name and comes when called, every time. He also understands "no" and responds to it appropriately! He is quickly learning "stay". All of this has been accomplished without treats, only a strong counter dominance on my part to his initial play to 'take me on', and subsequent praise training. I am astounded at how super smart he is and eager to please.

First Vet Visit

Ruben was a big hit at the Vets office. Seeing their first Terv they were oweing and aweing over him!
