The All breed dog club that I belong to (GVDF) held
a match June 12th 2005 and I took the opportunity to try and have a family
reunion of sorts and invited gracie's Kid's and Aspen's Kid's to the match,
of course Cannon couldn't make it he lives in Florida, and King couldn't
make it because he lives in Ohio, Dillon was scheduled but an out of town
trip came up and he had to cancel, Max was busy with his family in Plano
and also couldn't make it so it was the 4 girls from our "Special
litter and our Made litter:

Faith and Kacee looked great, although we all immediately said Kacee was a little healthy...we were assured she was on a diet and would soon be back in tip top shape. What a thrill it was for me to be able to take both Kacee and Faith into the rally ring and have some fun! And as always it was great to get to see and visit a little with Steve and Flo, Kacee's mom and dad!! What was even neater was the fact that Elly McCarthy was the Rally judge and she got to see and enjoy them as well. Rally |

Aspen and I along with Spirit and Barbara had fun in the rally ring and Shady and Jon were talked into trying out the conformation ring with Spirit and I while Barbara did club stuff.... You can tell Spirit and Shady are related...and it was nice to see them together with their mom again! It was also pretty neat to have them both in the conformation ring together, although I enjoyed showing Spirit I know that she much prefers her mom "Barbara"!! Jon and Barbara have done an excellent job socializing the girls and you could tell they are totally in love with them, And I think Elly enjoyed getting to see them too. :) Shady took first in the puppy bitch 6 to 9 month class and went on to the breed competition. For never having been in the ring before and a quick 2 minute lesson in handling Jon and Shady looked really good out there...Spirit kept looking for Barbara and was rather miffed when she noticed that her mom was petting another dog. I was very pleased with Aspens first try at rally all we need to do is speed it up a bit and we are ready for the real thing! Aspen Rally (DKs Made with Spirit & DK's Made in the Shade) |

Last but not least Abby was entered in conformation and took Breed. She is looking really nice and has settled down enough to where I think we can start getting serious about the show ring...at least she doesn't jump into my arms every time I stop in the ring now and she doesn't try and jump up and lick me in the face as we gait around the ring...she's "growing up". And being an aunt of sorts to the "Made" firls it was nice to have them all together....Kuper got to sit this one out, ONLY because my car barely held the three girls and it was a tight fit!! |
