Welcome to the web site of Louis K. (Ken) Linton.  I am commonly known to my friends and business associates as Ken.  I am pleased to offer a variety of my art work to you by order or from existing inventory.  I make knives.  I believe them to be of high quality, and this is validated by the support I receive from my customers.

 Biographically, I have been in the medical field as a Registered Respiratory Therapist for approximately thirty years.  Twenty-five of those years I have spent teaching.  This is still my current job.  I have been an avid hunter for most of my life with a great deal of interest in firearms and knives.  I got into knifemaking in 1995 when I took a course at Trinidad State Junior College, Trinidad, Colorado.  I have made significant improvements over the years in this skill due to my association with, and tutelage from, some outstanding craftsmen and knifemakers such as:  Johnny Stout, Harvey Dean, Roger Green, and Keith Gipson.  I am a charter member of the Texas Knifemakers and Collectors Association.

 I have a fully functional shop at my home, where I do all my own work including stock removal blade preparation, heat treating, & leather work.  Any knife that you see in this web page can be modified with a variety of handle material, and I mainly use either 440C or ATS34 stainless steel.  If you have a design in mind, I will be glade to work with you to achieve the desired final results if at all possible.

I do not forge blades or make Damascus because of some physical limitations.  I can however, suggest some outstanding knifemakers who will do a fantastic job.  I will, however, use Damascus from another maker on request.  I am in the in the process of perfecting my folders and hopefully they will make an appearance in the web page very soon.  Thank you for your patronage, and my promise is I will do the very best job that I can, and deal with you honestly and with the highest degree of integrity that I can.
