Performance Shelties from Lockehill

My first love is conformation but if I were a wee bit younger and a wee bit thinner, Agility would probably be where I spent my energy. I love watching the shear excitement of a good run and how much fun it is for both handler and dog not to mention the audience! My daughter Donna just took home a pup to start in Agility. Will keep you posted on Lockehill Homerun Derby "Vladdy" as he and Donna learn the sport together!

The following are a few Lockehill Shelties that are enjoying competition.
This page is under construction and I am waiting on pictures and current titles to post, you may need to reload to get current.

Lockehill King of Hearts, CGC, AX, AXJ,OAP,O-OAC, O-OCC, O-NJC, O-TN-O, O-TG-O, O-WV-O, PS1

BIS Am/Can/JCC Ch Barkley's SS Pajero Junior x Lockehill Careless Lucinda

Chief and his owner, Diana Gregory, have been learning the sport of agility together. You can see from his string of titles and the smile on his face, he is enjoying "getting the job done". Diana has done wonders with this energetic little boy and he has numerious first place wins under his belt. His small stature and terrific attitude make this team a pair to be reconded with. Watch for Diana and Chief competing in AKC and NADAC venues across Texas.

Lockehill Atwater Alliance AX, AXJ, NF "Shane"

Am/Can Ch Atwater Kismet Ardon,OA,AXJ x Lockehill Careless Obsession

Shane is truly a remarkable Agility dog. Bred by Dan and Allana Hemenway and myself, he started out in conformation winning six Specialty Major RWD and was pointed before going to Trish Millmore of Euro Dog Center to begin his Agility Career. Under his new owner Trish's guidance Shane had five straight first place wins before he took a rail for his first NQ. Every qualifing round he has completed to date was with a first place win. As of July 2007, Shane and Trish started collecting points toward Shane's MACH

Kara Young and Lockehill Bam I Am, NA,NAJ "BamBam"

Ch Kismet's Justin x Lockehill Careless Obsession

Bam Bam is a little guy with a great big heart. He is Lauren's son as is Shane shown above but Bam is the last pup sired by Ch Kismet's Justin. Justin is Lauren's grandsire and I really hoped for a conformation dog from this breeding... well he is very pretty!

Bam Bam's small size and eager personality made him perfect for Agility. At right he is taking a 16" jump.

Now back in the "Olden Days"

Pandra's Kismet Kate, CD
Kismet's State of The Art x Starhaven's Katie BarTDoor

Katie my first sheltie when she won her first and second Novice A leg with an entry of 22 each day.  Her next time out she finished her CD with another first of 43 entries in her class.  Those were the days before Agility took off when so many competed in Obedience.

Katie was trained and ready for Open, my goal was three straight legs when a thougthless instructor “Proofed” her and she began to refuse for fear of failure.  I could never get her confidence back.

Katie flamed the competition in my soul and began my sheltie addiction.

Chosen Legacy of Lockehill, CD

“Chloe” when we finished her CD.  Like her best buddy Katie, Chloe finished her CD in three straight shows.  Chloe was my second sheltie and the first to carry the Lockehill name. She and Katie both wait for me at Rainbow bridge.
