60. Hillary Hendrix Sr was born on 20 Oct 1754 in , Edgecombe, NC, USA. He served in the military in 1776.⁽¹⁵⁰⁾ He appeared on the census in 1820 in , Hall, GA, USA.⁽¹⁵¹⁾ He Federal on 29 Oct 1833 in , , AL, USA.⁽¹⁵²⁾ He died on 13 Jun 1844 in Grenada, Yalobusha, MS, USA. Hillary Hendricks moved at an early age to Chatham County, NC and then to Wilkes County, Georgia in 1784. (Elbert County was formed from Wilkes County, Georgia in 1790.) He received land warrants in Wilkes County for 400 acres in 1788 and for 223 acres in 1821. The Hendricks family lived on his farm that was slightly soutn of Elberton on a place referred to in their deeds as "Falling Creek." He served as a private in the Chatham County, North Carolina troups in Captain Joseph Stewart's Calvary Company, Captain Charles Gholson's Company, Captain William Richardson's Company, Captain William Cage's Company and in Colonel John Lutrell's Regiment. He was first discharged shortly before the surrender of General Cornwallis. After additional tours, he was finally discharged on 11 April 1782. He applied for a pension on 2 October 1832 , at age 78, from Lawrence County, Alabama. His pension was transferred from Huntsville, AL to Mississippi on 20 February 1841. George C.
Hendricks mentions, in an oral account, dictated in 1900, that Hillary had a brother named Pakton Hendricks who remained in South Carolina. Hillary had several daughters, including one named Elizabeth, who were married near Rome, GA. Jeremiah and Nimrod Hendricks moved to Rome, GA (presently Floyd County) near the Coosa River and then moved to near Courtland, Alabama on the Muscle Shoals region of the Tennessee River. According to Vern Hendrix of Delight, Akansas, Nimrod eventually moved south to Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. He was married to Elizabeth Whitehead about 1774 in , Chatham, NC, USA.

61. Elizabeth Whitehead was born about 1756 in , , SC, USA. She died before 1856. Children were:

i. Nimrod Hendrix was born on 28 Sep 1778 in , , NC, USA. He served in the military in 1813/14 in , , GA, USA. Georgia Mounted Volunteers - War of 1812. He was assigned to both
Major Freeman's and Captain Patterson's Regiments. He appeared on the census in 1855 in , Tuscaloosa, AL, USA.⁽¹⁵³⁾ He died on 16 Jul 1862 in , Tuscaloosa, AL, USA.
ii. Elizabeth Hendrix was born on 4 Jan 1788 in , Elbert, GA, USA. She died on 22 Mar 1841 in , Lowndes, MS, USA.
