TRUSTEES

A new heat pump, including air handling units for the Sanctuary where installed this month and the organ was repaired. Two new electrical circuit breakers were installed and on a recent workday various other items were also completed.

The foundation is a serious and costly concern, the shifting of the building has affected the operation of the pipe organ shutters, which has been repaired. The Trustees will be rerouting the water drainage via dirt work around the foundation, installing gutters and xeriscaping are beginning steps to improve the situation.

There are numerous other projects that are in progress and will be completed in the near future.

A LONG WAY FROM HOME

My name is Oksana Pavlovna Baryshnikova. I am 17 years old, and my birthday is on the 13th of February. I was born in small city by the name of Shachtersk in Donetsk region, Ukraine. I am the only child in my family. In Ukrainean High School I have one more year before I will graduate. In order to come here I participated in foreign exchange program FLEX. When I won my scholarship to come here I was really excited. Now I am a student of Gonzales High School; I am a senior and will graduate with 2009 senior class. I am very glad that I got an opportunity to come go Gonzales and live here. It is totally new experience for me because I live in a big city, and moreover I was not a country girl before I got here. I live with the Lindemann family. I appreciate so much that they took me and let me live with all of them. I am so thankful and I love them so much.

(Our church family has enjoyed having Oksana in our services these few weeks and wishes her the best as she returns home.)
